We enable life changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential in girls, non-binary, transgender and gender-diverse youth.

Study Buddy Program The Study Buddy mentoring program connects girls, non-binary, transgender, and gender-diverse youth (aged 7-17) with caring adult mentors who act as positive academic role models. Through this one-on-one support, mentors help youth improve their academic performance, set educational goals, and build self-confidence.

How It Works: Academic Support Through Mentorship

Study Buddy mentors and youth meet for one hour each week at a convenient location, such as a library, for at least six months. Mentors provide academic support while also including fun activities to foster a meaningful bond beyond schoolwork. This approach helps youth set educational goals, and builds strong connections which can make school more enjoyable and fun. Matches can continue year-round, allowing the relationship to grow over time.

Why This Program Matters: Overcoming Academic Challenges

Many youth in the Study Buddy program struggle in school, lack confidence, or have trouble setting educational goals. A dedicated mentor provides guidance and encouragement to help them do better, feel good about themselves, and stay motivated in their studies.
